I had so much fun sewing something for my little man for a change. Since he is always on the go I made this outfit specifically for him: durable and comfortable.
The jeans started out as a pair of my shorts (which were once
pants). I deconstructed them completely and then used my
skinny jeans pattern to cut out the pieces. I added 1/2" to the side seams since my material doesn't have any stretch and then cut the pieces out saving the original front pockets and hardware.
I love how authentic it looks! I sized down the original waistband and then reattached it so I could keep the original Lucky button. The original rivits and and pocket edges really add to the finished look
I saved the original belt loops and tag and reattached those at the end. I love his little Lucky Brand bum. I know I'm biased, but seriously I just love it! And it turns out those belt loops are super useful for catching my little runaway :)
I had some teal vinyl in my stash just begging to be made into baby moccasins.
Let's take a look at the hoodie! This was the piece I based the whole look around and I love how it turned out. All of the fabrics are repurposed tees so they are super soft and comfy
