Stripes, Polka Dots, and Ruffles, OH MY!

I didn't make it through to round 2 of Project Run & Play but I already had my outfit finished and photographed so here it is :)

Stripes, Polka Dots, and Ruffles, Oh My!

The theme for the week was stripes and polka dots. I had all of this awesome fabric in my stash just waiting to be made into something :) Since the theme involved some pretty bold patterns I wanted to stick with a simple design and keep my color scheme very basic. 

I cut the sleeves and bow on the bias to add in some fun diagonals

Underneath is a classic blouse with piping (more stripes!), peter pan collar, and puff sleeves with cuffs. The jumper crosses in the back and ties in front with knot closures.

I love the way all of the pieces work together for a cute and classic outfit

The jacket is fully lined and has a fun striped tab along each inseam pocket.

For the jacket I used the Avery as the building block The jumper is a combination of the Madeline and Adele with a bit of tweaking :) And underneath she's wearing the Molly Blouse
