A New Year, A New Journal

We have a special treat today! A guest post from my darling sister-in-law. Quite possibly the first of many :)

Hi everyone! I am Emily, Amy's sister-in-law, and I am so excited to be doing a review for Nap Time Crafters today. EK Success Brands sent me some beautiful papers from their Brenda Walton "Scribe" collection, and I couldn't  wait to get to work with these fun prints. I love their paper because it is so sturdy, and the colors are so vibrant. 

I had been planning to make a personalized journal for my husband for Christmas, and these literary-themed papers were perfect. My favorite is the one that looks like a row of vintage books. One sheet was just right for covering my notebook. 

There are tons of tutorials out there for this project.  I loved this one over at Aesthetic Nest. I topped my husband's journal off with a great, little bookmark from K&Company's Metal Art collection and a hand drawn monogram. This was such an easy gift, and I think my husband is going to love it.
