Guest Post: Spring Has Come

First off-congrats to Amy on her new bundle of joy! I'm so excited to be here while she gets to spend some time with her little one.

Let me introduce myself-my name's Kari and I blog over at Newlyweds on a Budget. I'm a newly married college student who loves finding ways to craft and design on my tiny budget. My husband and I live in married student housing while he finishes his degree in video game programming and I work on my history degree. Our apartment is small, doesn't have carpet, has a mini bake oven, and cinder block walls. We like to refer to it as our cinder block palace. It's pathetically awesome. Over at my blog you'll find lots of things from Gallery Wall Reveals to Pallet Art to Book Page Wreaths.

Guest Post: Baby needs you! Tips on Entertaining Siblings

Hello again, "Naptime" readers!  I'm Valerie from Occasionally Crafty, and I'm happy to be here today, taking a break from my usual "crafty" talk to instead share some thoughts and tips on being a mom of little ones.

This is my sweet "baby" Drew.

Guest post: Peanut Swaddler

Hello Nap Time Crafters! My name is Toni, and I blog over at SugarTart Crafts where I spend
most of my time stitching up projects for my 2 crazy munchkins. I'm so excited to be here while
Amy is enjoying some quality time with her new little man, and it's especially fun since we
welcomed a little Mr. into our own family only a few weeks ago!

So, In an attempt to help fellow new Mommas get a little more sleep
(or at least a few minutes of quiet), I'd like to share with you my zippered swaddler tutorial.

Guest Post: Secrets of the Baby Whisperer

I am so excited to be here at Naptime Crafters for Amy's Bundle of Joy Guest Post Series.  My name is Jenny and I'm from The NY Melrose Family.  I'm a teacher mommy that loves crafts, diy decorating and organization.  I usually have an assistant working with me, who often distracts me from what I'm trying to get done.  Luckily, she's cute and quite a character.  I'm talking about my two year old daughter, Riley.
I was fully ready for the birth of my daughter, or so I thought.  Riley was born on my 30th birthday and was an amazing gift, but I had no idea what I was in for.  Luckily, I had devoured Tracy Hogg's Secrets of The Baby Whisperer.

Guest Post: Crocheted Dishcloths

Hi there.... I'm Ashley from A Crafty House and I'm so excited to be guest posting today on Nap Time Crafters!  I'm an avid knitter and crocheter and am looking forward to sharing these easy crochet dishcloths with you all today.  I'm hoping to inspire some of you out there to try crocheting -- I promise, it's not just for cute little old ladies (check out some of my free patterns).  These dishcloths are great to brighten up your own kitchen or try giving them as housewarming gifts to your new neighbor.

Just a Peek: What a Life

Life as a family of 4 is going well.
Our little man is doing a lot of this...
And the other day we had a miracle and little miss ate some fruit. It seems every couple weeks a little alarm goes off somewhere in her body and she scarfs down a whole bunch of fruit in one sitting. She hasn't eaten any since then but I enjoy it while it lasts

Guest Post: Homemade Sweet Potato Baby Food

Cooking for our Babies | Homemade Sweet Potato Baby Food

As a busy mommy of a 3 year old and a 1 year old, feeding my kids healthy and easy food is really important to me. I strongly believe that if you start feeding your children healthy foods, right from the very beginning, they are much more likely to be good eaters when they are older.

When my kids were babies, I made most of their baby food from scratch. I was surprised at how easy and fairly inexpensive it was. Making homemade baby food is not only inexpensive and simple, it also makes you feel so good because you know exactly what your baby is eating and you know that it's good for them!

I'm so excited to be able to share on Nap Time Crafter's today and I'm so happy for Amy and her family, as they welcome this precious new life into their home. To go with the whole "baby" theme, I've decided to share one of my favorite baby food recipes with you today....Homemade Sweet Potato Baby Food!

Alright, so here's what you do:
•Get a sweet potato, poke a few holes in it with a fork and stick it in the microwave for about 3 minutes. After the 3 minutes, roll it over and microwave it for about another 2 or 3 minutes. You'll know it's cooked thoroughly when you can easily stick a fork in it.
