Who's Excited?!

Meet the Judges: Scissors and Spatulas

Are you getting super excited?! Today is the last day to audition for Season 3, so make sure you head on over and link up!

And today we have a real treat in store because we also get to meet our 3rd and final judge!

Hey y'all! I'm Jen, from Scissors & Spatulas.

I am super excited to be a guest judge here at Naptime Crafters! I was a contestant in season 2 of American Crafter. Even though I didn't win (I was the runner-up), it was so much fun and I walked away with an amazing prize package!

I'm a wife to an amazingly patient man and a mommy to two little boys (Jackson, 3 & Parker, 2) and three fur babies (Lily, Sophie & Lucy). As you can imagine, that there is never a dull moment in my house, but I wouldn't have it any other way! I constantly have my hands in something, whether it's cooking, decorating, DIY projects or crafting. To keep my sanity amongst all the chaos, I share my love of these things on my blog. You never know what you're going to get when you stop by Scissors & Spatulas!

Home decorating ideas and tips:

Crafts and sewing:

Food and parties:

And much more! I hope you'll stop by Scissors & Spatulas for a visit!
Now go get your crafty pants on! Even though American Crafter is a blast, there is some tough competition out there! Good luck, I can't wait to see what you've got!

Make sure you hop on over and have a look around. You never know- it might end up being your projects she's judging:)

Spooky Door Hanger

Can you believe it's already time to decorate for Halloween?! I guess I better get a move on with the Halloween costumes- yikes!

I finally accepted that summer is over and took down my Watermelon door hanger and I couldn't leave our door bare for long!
Enter the Spooky Door Hanger...
Really dresses up our front door and gets me in the mood for Fall!
I thought it turned out a bit skewampish, but the hubs actually complimented me on this project (without the usual hints...) so I decided to just leave it and learn to love it:)

Get a Jump on Christmas Shopping!

Can you believe it's almost October?!
Get a jump on your Christmas shopping with a FREE photo canvas!

I ordered one last year and I LOVE it! The quality is great and it came super fast- see how mine turned out here

You do have to pay shipping for the free 8x10, but it's still a great deal. And...if you're looking to go big you can get an awesome deal- their 2x3 foot canvas is only $80 shipped!

And in all fairness I'll let you know that I do get paid if you order a canvas through my ad, but...I promise I wouldn't share this with you if I didn't think it was a heck of a deal:)

Meet the Judges: Amanda Formaro

Time to meet another Judge Super Star!
Have you auditioned yet??? Time is running out, so hurry on over!

Hi there Nap Time Crafter fans! I was honored when Amy asked if I would be interested in being a guest judge for this season's American Crafter! My name is Amanda Formaro and you may have seen me in a few places around the blogosphere :) My personal craft blog is Crafts by Amanda, but I also have a cooking blog (Amanda's Cookin') and I own Fun Family Crafts as well. If that wasn't enough to keep me busy, I'm also the Home & Garden editor over at the fabulous Craft Gossip and I am the Senior Editor for Copycat Crafts. I'm also a designer for DecoArt and have appeared in print several times over the years, most recently in Parents Magazine. I have several other gigs, but wow, that's overwhelming enough, isn't it? ;-)

For five years I was the craft expert for Disney's Kaboose.com where you'll find over 500 of my craft tutorials for kids. In keeping with that tradition, you'll find lots of kid's projects on my blog but plenty of adult projects as well. Some of my favorites include the Halloween Painted Jar Luminaries I made a couple years ago, the Recycled Bread Tag Monsters I made last year, and for the home decor buffs out there, this Distressed Eat Sign and these Decoupage Family Photo Plaques. I love, love, love to craft, especially using recycled materials, and adore creating things for my home. I look so forward to seeing what this competition brings and know it's going to be really hard to choose. There's such great talent out there, can't wait to see what you do!
