Watermelon Door Hanger

It's summer! Greet your guest with a yummy watermelon door hanger!
Because nothing says summer like watermelon!

Materials:
  • Foam Board
  • Exacto Knife
  • Fabric- red & green
  • Black Buttons
  • Elmers Glue
  • Wire
  • Hole Punch
1. Cut a watermelon slice out of your foam board. {Mine was a birthday sign in a previous life}. I made my slice with a nice big bite out of the top

 2. Cut your red fabric to match leaving a little extra along the top straight edge. Glue it down and wrap the excess over to the back. {And Blogger is insisting on this being sideways- sorry about that!}
 3. Cut a nice "smile" out of your green fabric and glue it to the watermelon slice. Wrap the excess over to the back.
 4. Glue on some button seeds
 5. Punch a hole and thread your wire through. Curl the ends by wrapping it around a pen
 Happy SUMMER!

Just a Peek: Summer is Here!

Summer is officially here and little miss is loving every minute of it!
We're lucky enough to live next door to all of her best friends {and mine too!} which is an absolute blast. I guess apartment living has some benefits after all.
She's particularly smitten with our neighbors 2 year old:)

The Dollar Tree has sidewalk chalk right now. We used it for the first time and little miss loved it! She got to color wherever she wanted without getting into trouble {a first for her!}. She wouldn't even look at me for a second. And of course she's hoarding all of the chalk:)
Happy Sunday & Happy Summer!

Date Night Jar Review

Every have trouble thinking of something fun to do?
I know we do! So I was super excited when I got to review The Date Night Jar from Miss Lovey Dovey!
She just opened up shop and let me tell you her Date Night Jar is fantastic!
Date Night Jar
The jars are super cute and they have over 80 ideas!
My favorite part is they're color coded depending on the type of date you want to do:
*Going out dates
*Staying in dates
*New Years theme date
*Valentines Day theme date
*St. Patrick’s Day theme date
*Halloween theme date
*Thanksgiving theme dates
*Christmas theme dates

This would be a perfect wedding gift- so much fun for a young couple!

We tried out some of the staying in dates and had a blast:)

Our first date was a paper airplane competition. Sounds a bit cheesy, but it was actually super fun! Little miss was still up so we let her decorate the planes
My sister and her husband were over, so they played too. My plane is "Slow Bart"- he looks terrible, but placed 2nd:)
We also wrote down our bucket lists and it was hilarious!
At the top of my hubs list- go on a Man vs. Food tour...
We both had visit Australia, so I guess that's a good sign:)

I won't give away anymore ideas, but go ahead and head on over to Miss Love Dovey for some date night fun!
